Kendo is derived from the Japanese feudal art of swordsmanship and its traditions span close to 1500 years. The techniques and training methods of Kendo have been handed down from one generation to the next and today it is an exhilarating sport for both men and women. Kendo has been called the most spiritual of the martial arts; its training puts great emphasis on the development of strength of both body and spirit as well as confidence, hand eye coordination and fluidity of both motion and thought. |
